Blue Girl

I have been painting non stop for a few days and will shortly dump my latest work on you for comments...am preparing for a solo show here in March of next year.... but just before I do that...here a painting I have "enlarged", given it more of a frame, to make it part of a larger triptych....
The writing is a transfer from a map of Barbados from the 17th century, the painting is an inset.

Big Head - collage on canvas

I have collaged Japanese rice paper, termite eaten, onto canvas....32 x 56"...this is stage one... in stage 2, the next image, I have transferred parts of an old map of Barbados onto the background and added paint.

Chalky Mount Potter

....a mixed media/collage painting, finally finished, got taken to the gallery today for a first airing....he's life size and when the painting was standing in the living room, it looked like someone was sitting there!
I HAVE been painting, but mostly teaching....no time to post...I will need to rectify that!

barbados by car

here is a quick video i shot with my phone from the back seat of Heidi's car.  watch out - it might give you an epileptic fit or a simple headache, so proceed with caution.

barbados remnince

here is a scan of my glorious drawing.  note my itchy spots and the rebuttal birds.  also it was creatively drawn upon a piece of scrap packaging. Can you spot the unnamed bajan political leader of note that i drew from a framed photograph on a hospital wall?  Hurray for impromptu sketching to pass the time!
here are some large leaves

Sorry guys. I don't mean to rub it in. I hope it brings you warmth instead of resentment. We enter the northern chill again tomorrow.
