I know some of you have formed a heart-warming attachment to Lumpy, the good-natured, slightly modest fellow with a lower than normal self-esteem. You'll be pleased as punch to know that self-improvement is important to him, and that he has been seeing a therapist once a week to work on his confidence levels. One of her suggestions to Lumpy was to dress up in fine clothes, look at himself in the mirror and say out loud "I look good"

I think it might be working. In fact, in a passing conversation we had last week, Lumpy mentioned to me that his new hat makes him look hunky.
