Ground glass

Jeff bought a rolliflex camera - an old medium format camera and I am excited to photograph the ground glass with my digital camera. It's got a neat clouded effect. Stay tuned for more developed ideas with this notion.

Stairs painted

Finally got around to painting the back stairs! Complete with tiny non slip pebbles on the steps.

December 9-16 entry. Shelf finally finished

Finally finished my floor to ceiling shelf in the laundry room. A lot of stop & starts due to short helpers and trips to the hardware store. The laundry room is quite small so I had to take a couple of picks to fit it all in.

Seven steps: no stilts

Have been dancing— some days fighting— 7 days with the canvas. This drawing is on pattern paper on canvas, stained...
Some definition...but its not working.....so, back to the drawing board...
 ...I add some goop...
 ...and define the face

 ...and now those baleful eyes....
"Couldn't you have given me matching socks...?"

Drinking is my Favourite Pastime

Here are 10 different goblets I made for a very lucky lady who ordered them... they were SO FUN to make!

Closed for the season

Light snow. Minus 2.9

When I was little I thought that the imprint that a rabbit made in the snow was of a single foot print instead of the entire body print that in fact leaves. My imagination of the type of rabbit that could make that foot-print was a little wild. I could never figure out how a rabbit of that size could be so hard to spot given all of the time i spent in the woods. I chalked it up to magical invisibility.
