birth of a painting

 I decided to start a painting of a local potter from Chalky Mount...first, the collage background...a carboard box had to bite the dust, the painting is 3' x 5'
 didnt like the direction...so manual intervention and the baby was flipped....then the drawing
Today first application of paint...this is unprimed canvas, which just slurps up the paint...

    whoa crazy! i love hen you put up progressions... I wish to see more progressions, jlee is right... it is fascinating! why do you go the unprimed route?

    ..I'm sure I had a good reason when I bought it, but it eludes me now :)...it IS interesting to work on because the paint behaves so differently...but collages don't stick very well...
